Find out About the New Continuing Education Themes

Recently, OTTIAQ reviewed its continuing education activities in an effort to better meet the needs of language professionals who are interested in professional and personal advancement. Activities are grouped under three major themes:

Enhancing my Practice
This category includes training workshops on carefully chosen topics such as translation in various fields, language for specific purposes, and the new computer-assisted translation tools. Take this opportunity to expand your knowledge and explore new sectors of activity where the demand is constantly growing. Expand your potential!

Keeping up to Date
Meetings and talks in the form of noon-hour seminars or wine and cheese gatherings. Learn more about language-related issues like the history and evolution of the language professions, and hear about new publications in the language field or important issues affecting translators, terminologists and interpreters. Further your thinking and take the opportunity to discuss current issues with your colleagues.

Tending to Business
Language professionals are often self-employed. These workshops and conferences will offer you practical solutions, especially in the areas of self-management, project management and professional development. Become more effective and adept in managing your business.

New: Participants in the Outaouais and Capitale-Nationale regions can now pay using a credit card.
